5th Annual Opioid Awareness Walk

The Essex Health and Wellness Recovery Center holds a Walk on the 3rd Saturday in October - this year Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.

The Walk begins at Newark School Stadium on Bloomfield Ave, Newark, NJ and ends at First Baptist Church on Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell, NJ. We have start and stop locations along the route in Bloomfield, Montclair, Verona, and Caldwell.

After the Walk, we hold a complimentary Luncheon Presentation. We had over 450 walkers last year. We have support agencies who set up information tables.

We have had the DEA aircraft escort us on the route! The DEA Black and Gold Pipes and Drums opens up our Presentation.
